The escalation between Israel and Iran has forced the UK to begin deploying its military aircraft to the Middle East region. On June 14, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, told reporters on his way to the G7 summit in Canada.

"We are already moving resources to the region, including aircraft, and this is to provide support in unforeseen circumstances throughout the region," Sky News quoted him as saying.

The politician also did not rule out the possibility of British assistance to Israel. At the same time, Starmer did not provide any details about the country's actions in the region.

"These are obviously operational decisions, and the situation is ongoing and evolving, so I won't go into the exact details," he said.

On June 14, it was reported that Iran had threatened Britain, France and the United States with attacks on their facilities in case of assistance to Israel. In addition to military installations, Tehran has threatened attacks on ships of these countries.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. According to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure. The next day, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced four waves of Iranian missile attacks.
