Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Israel a threat to security in the Middle East during a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. This was reported on June 14 by the Anadolu agency.

It is noted that the Turkish leader expressed condolences to the Iranian side in connection with the numerous victims as a result of Israeli attacks.

"Israel under the leadership of [Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu poses the greatest threat to the stability and security of the region, and he has demonstrated this once again by attacking Iran," Erdogan said.

The Turkish president stressed that Israel must be stopped in order to reduce tensions.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.

In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks. The Mehr news agency reported on June 14 that Tehran had threatened Britain, France and the United States with attacks on their facilities in the Middle East if Israel helped repel the attacks.
