Moscow insists on a political and diplomatic solution to issues related to the Iranian nuclear program. This was announced on Saturday, June 14, by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

"We insisted that there was no alternative – and we continue to talk about it – to a purely political and diplomatic solution to all problems," he said in an interview with TASS.

According to the Russian deputy Foreign Minister, it was felt that some kind of action had been preparing for some time, this was evident, in particular, by the fact that the Americans were withdrawing "non-critical personnel" and their family members from military installations.

Ryabkov also pointed out that no matter how much Israel talks about achieving its goals, it will end up with a worse security situation than before the attacks on Iran.

"I don't want to prejudge anything, but the determination of the Iranian side speaks for itself," the Deputy Foreign Minister concluded.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the task of the military operation attacks on the Iranian nuclear infrastructure.

In response, Iran launched several waves of missile attacks. On June 14, the Mehr news agency reported that Tehran had threatened Britain, France and the United States with attacks on their facilities in the Middle East if Israel helped repel the attacks.
