Nuclear facilities in the Iranian city of Isfahan have been attacked several times since June 13, and no increase in radiation levels has been detected outside the facilities. This was announced on June 14 by the press service of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
"At the moment, there have been no reports of an increase in radiation levels outside the facility," the organization wrote on its official page on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
It is specified that the IAEA continues to maintain contact with Iran. The Agency is aware of the developments related to the nuclear facilities in Isfahan and Fordo. It requests information from the Iranian authorities about any impact on them.
On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the task of the military operation attacks on the Iranian nuclear infrastructure.
On June 14, Behrouz Kamalvandi, an official representative of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said that the Israeli strikes on the Fordo nuclear facility had caused only limited damage. Kamalvandi added that there was no significant damage, and there was no threat of leakage of dangerous substances.
