Cars carrying Israeli unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) were detained in Iran. This was reported on June 14 by the Nour News agency with reference to the Ministry of Intelligence.

"Several vehicles belonging to Mossad [intelligence service] spies were seized, which were carrying suicide drones," the agency's Telegram channel says.

The Ministry of Intelligence called on local residents to report to the headquarters in case of suspicious activity or truck movements.

Earlier in the day, the Iranian armed forces destroyed Israeli reconnaissance drones near the town of Selmas on the border with Turkey. According to media reports, the drones carried out a reconnaissance mission over the north-west of the Islamic Republic and entered its airspace for the purpose of espionage and reconnaissance.

On June 13, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the task of the military operation attacks on the Iranian nuclear infrastructure. The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, in turn, pointed to Israel's right to "defend itself and its people" during the escalation of the conflict.
