Political scientist Manoilo commented on Israel's strike on Iran

Israel has launched a military operation in Iran that will allow it to temporarily forget about the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Andrey Manoilo, a professor at Lomonosov Moscow State University, head of the Department of Information and Hybrid Warfare at the Academy of Political Sciences, and a political scientist, told Izvestia about the relationship between these two escalations on June 13.
"It's hard to say what will happen next and how long it will take. It all depends on Iran's response to the aggression. Because, as far as Israel is concerned, everything is clear there. Netanyahu really needs a small, victorious Middle East war," Manoilo said.
He noted that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is most likely trying to protect Israel from the UN Security Council by escalating a new conflict. This is due to the fact that a truce with Hamas has been outlined in the Gaza Strip, which is so unfavorable for Netanyahu.
"Iran will not slow down this strike. Because blood was shed and representatives of Iran's top leadership died," the political scientist predicted.
On the same day, Israel launched a preemptive strike against Iran and declared a state of emergency. In this regard, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to strike at Iran's nuclear infrastructure.
