The media reported a new explosion in the northwest of Tehran.

A new explosion has occurred in the north-west of Tehran. This was reported by the Nour News agency on June 13.

"A few minutes ago, an explosion occurred in the Garmdarekh area and smoke appeared," the newspaper's Telegram channel says.

Earlier, the Fars news agency reported that at least 78 people were killed and 329 injured in Israeli strikes on residential areas of Tehran.

The Jewish State has attacked at least 60 locations in eight provinces of the Islamic Republic from the air.

Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. Later, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of Israel's military operation was to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure, as well as ballistic missile factories. He called the beginning of the operation a success.
