There are no radiation leaks at the Natanz nuclear facility as a result of Israeli strikes. This was announced on June 13 by the head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Mohammad Eslami.

"Israel tried to inflict as much damage as possible on nuclear facilities with a pre-planned plan. Fortunately, we did not suffer any human casualties. We also did not have any radiation leaks that could cause concern to people," the ISNA portal quoted Eslami as saying.

Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure, as well as ballistic missile factories. He called the beginning of the operation a success.

Later, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said that the Iranian Army would respond to Israeli strikes on the territory of the Islamic Republic, after which Tel Aviv would regret what it had done. He called on Iranians to maintain unity and solidarity so that the country could face this difficult moment "as courageously as possible." According to the Fars news agency, at least 78 people were killed and 329 injured in Israeli strikes on residential areas of Tehran.
