The media reported on the transfer of US forces to the Middle East

Against the background of Iran's possible response to Israeli strikes, the United States is deploying its military forces to the Middle East. This was reported on June 13 by the Associated Press, citing sources.
"According to two U.S. officials on Friday, U.S. military resources are being deployed in response to Israeli strikes on Iran and a possible retaliatory attack by Tehran," the report said.
Thus, the Navy ordered the destroyer USS Thomas Hudner to begin moving towards the Eastern Mediterranean, and also ordered that the second destroyer begin moving forward and be ready for further orders.
One of the officials also told the agency that US President Donald Trump is meeting with the heads of the National Security Council to discuss the situation.
Also on June 13, Trump said that despite the fact that the United States issued an ultimatum to Iran two months ago on concluding a nuclear deal, the Islamic Republic still has a second chance to accept Washington's terms.
Israel launched a preemptive strike on Iran and declared a state of emergency across the country earlier in the day. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the purpose of the military operation is to attack Iran's nuclear infrastructure, as well as ballistic missile factories. He called the beginning of the operation a success.
According to the Fars news agency, at least 78 people were killed and 329 injured in Israeli strikes on residential areas of Tehran.
Later, Iranian President Masoud Peseshkian said that the Iranian Army would respond to Israeli strikes on the territory of the Islamic Republic, after which Tel Aviv would regret what it had done. He called on Iranians to maintain unity and solidarity so that the country could survive this difficult moment "as courageously as possible."
