The cause of the fire in the village of Kurovskoye in the Moscow region, which killed five children, could be a short circuit of electrical wiring as a result of an overload of electrical networks that were connected to the network of household appliances. This was reported on June 13 in the Telegram channel of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region.
"According to preliminary expert data, the cause of the fire could be a short circuit of electrical wiring as a result of an overload of electrical networks connected to the network with household appliances," the report says.
According to the agency, the exact cause of the fire will be possible to establish after summing up the results of the fire technical expertise. At the moment, law enforcement agencies are conducting interrogations and establishing all the circumstances of the incident.
The deaths of five minors: one-month-old, one-year-old, nine, 11 and 17 years old, during a fire in the Moscow region were reported earlier in the day. The fire area reached 72 sq. m.
