Two people were killed when the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck Makeyevka in the DPR

Ukrainian militants attacked the Gornyatsky district of Makeyevka in the Donetsk People's Republic. As a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), two people were killed. Footage of the June 13 aftermath was shown by Izvestia.

"At the time of the impact, a car was passing, there was a man and a woman in it, most likely a married couple. They died on the spot from numerous shrapnel wounds," the correspondent said.

Military investigators are working at the scene. They document the aftermath of the attack and collect evidence.

"It has been established that the enemy fired, presumably using the HIMARS MLRS, as evidenced by fragments of shells found on the spot, which will be seized and sent for examination," said a representative of the Investigative Committee (IC).

He added that the strike was carried out on a civilian road, where there was no military equipment or weapons.
