Young men who planned a terrorist attack following the example of Breivik were detained in Poland.

In Poland, law enforcement officers detained three young men suspected of planning a terrorist attack in Olsztyn. This was announced on June 12 by the press secretary of the Minister - Coordinator of the Polish special services, Jacek Dobrzynski, on his Facebook page (ex. Twitter).

"Employees of the office of the representative office of the Internal Security Agency (Polish Special Service. A 19-year-old man suspected of planning a terrorist attack was detained in Olsztyn. This is the third defendant in the investigation, which is supervised by the district prosecutor's office in Olsztyn," the publication says.

It is specified that the attackers studied information on the Internet about the use of weapons and the conduct of hostilities. In addition, the defendants visited shooting ranges and conducted military tactical exercises. According to Dobrzynski, the young men were inspired by the actions of such mass murderers as Anders Breivik, Brenton Tarrant and Timothy McVeigh.

Two young people have been given a preventive measure in the form of temporary arrest, at the moment law enforcement officers are clarifying all the circumstances.

Earlier, on June 10, at least 13 terrorist attacks took place in different cities of Colombia. The attackers blew up cars and used grenades to attack police officers. The incidents were related to the third anniversary of the elimination of a militant nicknamed Mayimbu, who was killed on June 13, 2022 during an army operation.
