Russians told about their plans for the June holidays

Unlike the May holidays, when most Russians preferred to stay at home, the situation changed in June: there was a significant increase in interest in traveling both in Russia and abroad. This follows from a study by the financial marketplace <url>. The data was reviewed by Izvestia on June 12.

In May, 61% of the survey participants stayed at home, and in June, only 13% plan to spend the weekend without leaving. 17% of respondents will go to the country, 9% will go to relatives in other cities or villages. The southern resorts of Russia, such as Sochi, Krasnodar, Anapa and Gelendzhik, were chosen by 19% of respondents.

The surge in demand for Turkey is especially noticeable — 14% of the survey participants are going there. In May, foreign destinations were almost not in demand, but now interest has grown due to the depreciation of the lira and favorable offers from tour operators.

In addition, 4% of Russians plan trips to Moscow or St. Petersburg, the same number — along the Golden Ring. Karelia, Altai, Baikal and other natural regions were chosen by 3% each, the same number will go hiking or rafting.

Financial plans have also changed: if in May 70% fit into 20 thousand rubles, now there are only 35% of them. 27% of respondents are ready to spend up to 50 thousand, 23% — up to 100 thousand, and 11% — up to 200 thousand.

"We see a shift in behavior: May was a time of saving, and June was an opportunity for a full—fledged vacation. It is also significant that Russians have become more willing to plan more expensive trips: spending over 50,000 rubles per person is no longer uncommon," summed up the director of the communications policy department of the financial marketplace "Choose.<url>" by Anna Romanenko.

They have already booked 70% more flights than a year earlier.

In Russia, the most budget—friendly June trip will be a trip to Elista, while abroad it will be a visit to Minsk. This follows from the data of the OneTwoTrip travel planning service, which was reviewed by Izvestia on April 24. Experts have compiled a list of Russian and foreign cities where you can have a cheap vacation in early summer.
