Firefighters from three regions arrived in Transbaikalia to extinguish the forest near Burgen

Additional forces from three regions have arrived in the Trans-Baikal Territory to help extinguish a large forest fire. Governor Alexander Osipov announced this in his Telegram channel.

"To strengthen the extinguishing of a large fire in the area of the village of Burgen (Chita region. Firefighters from the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Amur Region and the Republic of Khakassia arrived. Aviation is involved," said the head of Transbaikalia.

Fires continue to operate in other districts of the region. According to the ChitaMedia news agency, three fires were recorded in the Uletovsky district, 163 people and 13 pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing.

There are five forest fires in the Khilok district. The fire is being extinguished by 347 people, 60 pieces of equipment are also involved, and all-terrain vehicles are additionally deployed.

A special fire protection regime continues to operate throughout the Trans-Baikal Territory, as well as the federal emergency regime in forests.

On June 9, it was reported that the area of forest fires in Transbaikalia reached 2.5 million hectares. 90% of the fire area is in the Khiloksky, Chita and Uletovsky districts.
