China points to progress in trade negotiations with the United States


The progress achieved during the economic talks between the US and Chinese delegations in London is able to strengthen trust between the two countries. This was announced on June 11 by the Chinese representative at the meeting, Li Chenggang.
"The progress made during the current negotiations in London will further strengthen trust between China and the United States and further promote the stable and healthy development of Sino-American trade and economic relations," China Central Television (CCTV) quoted him as saying.
It is noted that the delegations held rational, professional and frank negotiations.
The continuation of the negotiations started on June 9 in London was announced on June 10. It is specified that at the business meeting, the US delegation was led by Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnik and United States Trade Representative Jamison Greer.
Earlier, on June 5, Chinese President Xi Jinping called on the United States to lift negative measures against China. China Central Television (CCTV) clarifies that during the conversation, the Chinese leader also pointed out the importance of intensifying cooperation between the two countries in various fields and invited the American president to visit China.
