The driver was killed in an accident in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Police officers are investigating the circumstances of an accident that occurred on June 9, involving two cars in the Berezovsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. This was announced on June 10 by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in its Telegram channel.

"The 29-year-old driver, driving a Mercedes-Benz car, was moving from Kansk towards Krasnoyarsk. On the 866th km of the R-255 Siberia highway, the man lost control and drove into the lane intended for oncoming traffic, where he collided with a Freightliner Century car with a semi-trailer driven by a 46-year—old driver," the agency said.

As a result of the accident, the driver of the car died before the ambulance arrived, and his passenger was hospitalized with multiple injuries.

There were 698 road accidents in Russia over the past weekend.

Earlier, on June 9, a man was killed in an accident as a result of a collision between a truck and two cars near Sergiev Posad. Another person was hospitalized.
