Ukraine has received American Patriot air defense systems from Israel

Israel has transferred Patriot air defense systems received from the United States to Ukraine. This was announced on June 9 by the Ambassador of the Jewish state in Kiev, Mikhail Brodsky.
"The Patriot systems that we once received from the United States are now in Ukraine. These are Israeli systems that were in service with Israel in the early 90s," the UNIAN news agency quoted Brodsky as saying.
According to him, Israel has strong ties with the United States, which have been built over the decades. This, in turn, required a lot of effort on the part of Israel. For this, the state needed to be useful to the United States, Brodsky added.
Earlier, on May 24, the Ukrainian Armed Forces recognized the ineffectiveness of the Patriot air defense systems, which stopped intercepting Russian ballistic missiles. It was clarified that it was difficult for Patriot to anticipate the target's interception point. This applies to the flight of a ballistic missile when it performs maneuvers rather than flying in a straight line.
