Direct rail service to Pyongyang to resume in June


Direct Pyongyang—Moscow and Pyongyang—Khabarovsk railway links will be restored in June. This was announced on June 9 by the press service of the Russian Railways (RZD).
"We are resuming direct railway service Pyongyang – Moscow and Pyongyang – Khabarovsk," the Telegram channel says.
It is specified that from June 17, international non-stop railcars will resume running between Pyongyang and Moscow, and from June 19 — between Pyongyang and Khabarovsk.
Russian Railways noted that the railway connection between Russia and the DPRK was suspended due to COVID-19 in February 2020.
On May 29, it became known that the reconstruction of the railway station near the Tumannaya River, located near the Russian border, was completed in the DPRK. It was noted that the construction completion ceremony took place on May 28. The event was attended by officials, railway transport workers, station staff and construction workers.
