NATO's plans to rearm the Baltic states are worrying. This was reported on June 7 by the Berliner Zeitung (BZ).

"The plans for the rearmament of the Baltic Sea countries that are members of NATO are worrisome," the publication says.

According to the publication, the North Atlantic Alliance accuses Russia of allegedly having a "shadow fleet" in the region, but does not provide any evidence.

On June 8, it was reported that NATO military exercises in the Baltic Sea could provoke a conflict with Russia. It is clarified that this coincidence risks leading to an escalation in the region.

Before that, on June 1, the German newspaper Bild also reported that the military exercises of Russia and NATO, which will take place simultaneously in the Baltic Sea, may cause an increase in tension in the region. At the same time, naval expert Johannes Peters clarified that the Russian state is acting legally by deploying its units in the Baltic Sea.
