About 70% of the monthly precipitation rate fell in Vnukovo.

In some areas of the Moscow region, on Sunday, June 8, precipitation ranged from 15 to 34% of the June norm, but in Vnukovo it was about 70% of the monthly norm. This was announced on June 8 by Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos Weather Center.
"In some areas of the capital region, precipitation fell from 15 to 34% of the June norm today. The rain did its best in Vnukovo, where precipitation meters (a meteorological device for measuring precipitation, including liquid (rain) and solid (snow, hail) were installed. Meteorologists got 54 mm of heavenly moisture, or about 70% of the required amount for the whole of June," he said in a message on his Telegram channel.
According to Leus, in Moscow and the Moscow region, due to the abundance of moisture brought by rains, focal fogs form in the middle of the night as a result of a decrease in the temperature background, with visibility of 500-800 m. The weather forecaster said that the mists would clear with sunrise.
On June 8, the Hydrometeorological Center predicted an increase in temperature in the metropolitan region to +30 degrees, and also warned of an expected thunderstorm in places. On the same day, the Moscow City Management Complex called on residents to be careful during severe weather deterioration, in which wind breakthroughs could reach 20-25 m/s.
