Vice President Jay Dee Vance benefits from the conflict between US President Donald Trump and entrepreneur Elon Musk. This was reported on June 8 by The Sunday Times newspaper.

As noted in the article, it was noticed in Republican circles that Vance "rose above the fray," while Trump and Musk engaged in an open confrontation.

According to the author of the article, at the moment it is Vance who is considered as the favorite who can keep the slogan MAGA ("Make America great again") and lead the movement in 2028.

The publication also pointed out that a rapid change of sentiment in Washington could lead to a split within the Republican Party and, as a result, to the victory of the Democrats in the next presidential election.

On June 3, Musk criticized the draft budget proposed by the Trump administration, calling it a disgusting abomination. On June 5, Musk publicly supported the idea of impeaching the current president. Trump, in turn, wrote that terminating contracts with Musk is the easiest way to save money in the state budget. At the same time, Tesla shares fell sharply. Later, Trump said that he did not want to communicate with Musk, as he had "lost his mind."

On June 7, Musk's father told Izvestia that the American leader would be the winner in the conflict between Trump and the entrepreneur. He noted that both Trump and Musk firmly adhere to their principles and this is absolutely normal.
