An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.6 was recorded on the coast of Chile on June 6. This is evidenced by data on the website of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.

The epicenter of the seismic event is located 100 km northwest of the city of Kopyapo with a population of more than 120 thousand people. The earthquake was centered at a depth of 98 km.

There were no reports of casualties or damage.

On June 5, two consecutive earthquakes of magnitude 4.6 and 4.1 occurred in Kyrgyzstan with an interval of six minutes. Seismic events were recorded in the Naryn region of the country. The first 4.6 magnitude tremors were recorded at 16:18 local time (13:18 Moscow time), the second with a magnitude of 4.1 — at 16:24 (13:24 Moscow time).
