With the onset of the warm season, residents of the capital are increasingly combining rest with additional earnings. According to a study by the financial marketplace <url>, Muscovites prefer flexible forms of part-time work in the summer, which allow them not to change their usual lifestyle. The results were reviewed by Izvestia on June 8.

Short—term rental housing became the leader of the rating - 21% of respondents plan to rent out their apartment, leaving for the country or on a trip. This strategy is especially popular among property owners in the central districts of Moscow and among those who have a summer cottage or the possibility of temporary residence outside the metropolis.

Young people under the age of 30 are more likely to choose delivery: 11% of respondents are ready to work as couriers using personal transport — bicycles, electric scooters or mopeds. Almost one in four of them considers a part-time job as a way to recoup the cost of a vehicle.

9% of Muscovites, mostly women aged 30-40, intend to improve urban spaces — landscaping, painting small forms and cleaning parks. Another 7% plan to work at festivals and mass events as technical specialists.

The least common but consistently popular options are child care (3%) and dog walking (2%). These types of employment are in demand among female students and recently retired women.

At the same time, almost half of the respondents (47%) are not going to work part-time in the summer, citing the lack of free time and high workload at their main job.

On May 22, Vladimir Koritsky, CEO of the service for secure transactions with freelancers at Solar Staff, told Izvestia about a new trend — polyworking: when a person simultaneously conducts several projects, he works for a number of companies in different roles. According to the expert, this allows people to increase their income, constantly develop skills in various fields, be creative and avoid routine.
