The Republic of Ingushetia took the first place in the rating in terms of the frequency of insurance claims for CTP over the past year. This is stated in the message of the Russian Union of Motor Insurers (RSA), which was received by Izvestia on June 6.

Thus, for the period from April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025, Ingushetia became the leader with a frequency of 8.7%. The second place was taken by the Republic of Dagestan, where the frequency of insured events was 6.7%. Primorsky Krai closes the top three (6.4%). At the same time, the average frequency of insurance claims for CTP in Russia is 4.5%.

The Novosibirsk Region is in fourth place, followed by the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Khabarovsk Territory, Kaliningrad Region, the Republic of Tatarstan, Moscow, Omsk Region, as well as the Republic of Buryatia, Yaroslavl and Chelyabinsk regions, and St. Petersburg. In addition to them, 15 other regions have a higher frequency of insurance claims for CTP than the national average.

The RSA noted that during the specified period, the average frequency of insurance claims for CTP in the Russian Federation increased by 0.1 percentage points, and in the leading region, which turned out to be Ingushetia, by 0.9 percentage points. This indicates a deterioration of the situation in the region, where problems are already steadily occurring, said the head of the union, Yevgeny Ufimtsev.

He noted that in the Republic of Dagestan, the frequency of insurance claims decreased by 1.8 percentage points, and in the Chechen Republic — by 2.6 percentage points (4.3%). The latter ranked third in the same period last year, and this time it was not even among the regions with a frequency higher than the national average. This result was achieved only thanks to the coordinated work of law enforcement agencies, local authorities and insurers, Ufimtsev believes.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that in January –March 2025, the cost of a classic CTP policy for ordinary motorists decreased by 5.1% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 6.9 thousand rubles. In total, 9.8 million classic CTP contracts (with a regular duration) were concluded in the first quarter of this year, including 868 thousand short-term policies, the average duration of which was 2.8 days.
