- The Russian Foreign Ministry commented on Zelensky's statements about the Istanbul talks

Kiev's decision to withdraw from the negotiation process will be within the framework of Ukraine's political responsibility. This was reported to Izvestia by the Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry for crimes of the Kiev regime Rodion Miroshnik.
"Based on their statements, Ukraine has repeatedly demonstrated its complete unwillingness to move towards peace. The desire to get a break in the fighting for rearmament and the systemic settlement that Russia insists on are, in practice, two big differences. We believe that achieving our goals through political and diplomatic means is a much more effective approach in terms of saving lives, so we are doing our best. If Ukraine makes a different decision, it will be solely on Kiev's conscience and within the framework of its political responsibility," the diplomat said.
On June 4, at a briefing, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the ultimatum memorandum on the settlement of the conflict, which was presented by the Russian side at the talks in Istanbul on June 2, and questioned the need to continue the Istanbul consultations.
