Forecaster predicted the first summer thunderstorm in Moscow on June 6

Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading specialist at the Meteonosti news agency, warned that intense rains and the first summer thunderstorm are expected in Moscow on Friday, June 6.

In an interview with the Moscow city News agency on Wednesday, June 4, the specialist noted that the air in the capital will warm up to +28 degrees.

"Starting from Friday, rains of varying intensity are expected. The most intense precipitation is possible on the afternoon of June 6, there will be more rain and even a thunderstorm," Pozdnyakova said.

According to her, on Thursday, June 5, the thermometer will show from +25 to +27 degrees, precipitation is not expected. Light short-term rains are also possible on the weekend of June 7 and 8. It will be warm enough at night — +12...+17 degrees, during the day the air will warm up to +24 ...+29 degrees.

The yellow weather danger level has been extended in Moscow until Thursday, June 5. A similar warning is in effect in the Moscow Region, Moscow 24 reports.

Earlier in the day, Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service's crisis management department, said that a heat wave of up to +34 degrees was expected in Moscow next week. The hottest day may be Tuesday, June 10, RT clarifies.

On June 2, Alexander Ilyin, a forecaster at the Meteo forecasting center, warned Muscovites about unstable weather with thunderstorms. According to him, the heaviest rains are forecast on Friday, notes 360.ru .

On May 20, cardiologist Andrey Kondrakhin told Izvestia about ways to reduce the negative effects of abnormal heat on the body. To prevent overheating, the doctor recommends first of all to limit physical activity and avoid direct sunlight.
