The State Duma warned Ukraine about the consequences due to the military aid package from France

Ukraine's €1.5 billion military support for the purchase of weapons from French companies is an attempt to manipulate Russia and force it to abandon its demands. This opinion was expressed by State Duma deputy Svetlana Zhurova on Wednesday, June 4.

"Again, it's a chess game, they're making some moves, trying to manipulate us into retreating somewhere, apparently showing support once again," Zhurova said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .

The parliamentarian expressed confidence that Kiev would then be asked for all the allocated money. She noted that such support is taking place against the background of statements about a cease-fire.

According to Zhurova, in the context of the ongoing negotiation process, France's military assistance is an attempt to put pressure on Russia to force it to abandon its demands.
