Ukraine would suck every euro, forint and zloty from Europe if it joined the European Union (EU). This was announced on June 3 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Facebook (owned by the extremist Meta company recognized in Russia, its activities are banned in the Russian Federation).

He noted that the idea of EU enlargement is noble and has been discussed for decades, including in the context of cooperation with the countries of the Western Balkans. However, according to Orban, Brussels is trying to use the trust of European citizens to move Ukraine into this system.

"For Brussels, Ukraine's accession is a vital issue: political damage control and good business," Orban added.

He stressed that if Ukraine joins the union, it will draw out resources previously allocated to support European families, farmers and industry.

"They don't care if it's Debrecen or Kharkiv, Warsaw or Kiev, Bratislava or Lviv. But it matters to us. We are responsible for Hungarian families, Hungarian entrepreneurs and Hungarian farmers," Orban said.

On April 18, the Hungarian government announced that Ukraine's accession to the EU would result in the penetration of the Ukrainian mafia into Europe. According to the Hungarian government, even before the conflict began, Ukraine was one of the centers of drug trafficking and organized crime in Eastern Europe. Budapest also does not exclude the possibility of weapons transferred to Kiev for military operations falling into the hands of criminals.
