Connection of consumers to the electric grid has begun in the Zaporizhia region

Specialists have begun the phased connection of de-energized settlements of the Zaporizhia region to the power grid, damaged as a result of the attack by Ukrainian drones. This was announced on June 3 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.
"Some of the consumers living in the southern part of the Zaporizhia region are already connected to the electricity supply," he wrote on the Telegram channel.
According to the governor, about 20% of the total number of consumers are connected to the power grid. Balitsky stressed that work on the restoration of the energy system is ongoing.
Earlier in the day, the head of the region said that as a result of the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Zaporizhia region, 457 settlements and 600 thousand subscribers were temporarily left without electricity. Socially significant facilities were connected to backup power sources.
