The analyst reported weak sales of machines of the Russian Xcite brand

In the year since the start of sales of Xcite cars in Russia, about 8 thousand cars of this brand have been sold. During the same time, almost 20 thousand Xcite cars were assembled at the automobile plant in St. Petersburg (formerly Nissan). This was announced on June 3 by Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, in his Telegram channel.
"Sales are tight. The best months were September and October 2024, when more than 1,000 cars were sold per month. Now the sales rate does not exceed 500 units per month," wrote Tselikov.
If the sales rate does not increase, then there will be enough inventory for the entire current year and for 2026, the analyst noted. More than 75% of the output was accounted for by the X-Cross 7 model.
Xcite dealers offer benefits of up to 650-750 thousand rubles, depending on the model. The benefit consists of a direct discount (350-450 thousand rubles) and an additional one (300 thousand rubles), which can be obtained when handing over your old car to a trade-in or when applying for a corporate loan, the expert said.
At the end of May, the press service of Avtozavod Saint Petersburg announced that the Xcite project was continuing to operate, and there were no plans to close it. Tselikov suggested that the search for the next partner for the assembly of new models is underway, and based on sales statistics, there is a lot of time to search.
On February 19, it was reported that the production plan of Avtozavod Saint Petersburg for 2025 involves the assembly of just over 6.5 thousand cars. This is 2.5 times less than the number of machines that were produced at the enterprise in 2024.
