The Rada announced two secret additional agreements on mineral resources with the United States by Ukraine

Ukraine has classified two additional agreements with the United States on minerals. This was announced on June 2 by People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

"In fact, at our request (to provide documents on agreements on minerals — Ed.), the Ministry of Economy and their agency refused to provide two additional agreements," he wrote in his Telegram channel.

The deputy named the agreements mentioned in the request. These are the Limited Partnership Agreement and the Limited Liability Company Agreement.

Zheleznyak added that the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, at the request of these agreements, referred to the "trade secret" that applies to these documents.

On May 1, Washington and Kiev signed an agreement on mineral resources. As part of it, a special investment fund will be created, which should direct the proceeds from the development of deposits to the restoration of Ukraine.

At the same time, according to media reports, the concluded deal will not bring profit from mining for a decade and will require large investments from the private sector to implement the projects.
