Sollers has started production of the first Russian van with an automatic rifle

The production of the Sollers SF5 line of light commercial vehicles has begun at the Sollers Alabuga plant. This is the first Russian car in its class to be mass-produced with an automatic transmission, according to a statement from Sollers, which was received by Izvestia. The cars will be available at dealers in the third quarter of 2025.
The Sollers SF5 line includes all-metal vans, cargo and passenger versions, passenger buses and special equipment chassis. The car is equipped with a localized 2.7-liter diesel engine with a capacity of 150 hp (Euro-5) and a six-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter.
It is planned that by the end of 2025, the localization level of Sollers SF5 will be 70%. Currently, the model is equipped with Russian-made rechargeable batteries, radiators, seats and glazing, a complex of driver assistance assistants and a telematics unit. The body panels are made of Russian galvanized steel.
The SF5's basic equipment includes LED running lights, heated electric rear-view mirrors, power windows, multi-steering wheel, air conditioning, on-board computer, cruise control, MP3-enabled audio system, USB connectors for charging devices and cup holders, as well as ABS and ESC systems, a lift assist, two airbags and tire pressure monitoring system.
On May 31, it was reported that Anton Alikhanov, the head of the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, tested the new Sollers ST9 model at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. The start of production of the pickup truck is scheduled for the third quarter of this year.
Prior to that, on May 21, Sollers announced that it had started shipping Russian-built SA9 buses to dealers and this model had received certification. Sollers SA9 is produced at the Mazda plant in Vladivostok.
