Air defense forces destroyed 162 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions overnight

The Air Defense Forces destroyed 162 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) over the regions of the Russian Federation over the past night. This was announced on Monday, June 2, by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"Between 20:10 Moscow time on June 1 and 02:00 on June 2, 162 Ukrainian aircraft—type unmanned aerial vehicles were intercepted and destroyed by air defense systems on duty," the ministry said in a Telegram statement.

It is specified that 47 Ukrainian drones were destroyed over the Kursk region, 31 UAVs over the Belgorod region, 27 UAVs over the Lipetsk region, 16 UAVs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were eliminated over the Voronezh Region, 11 UAVs each were destroyed over the territories of the Bryansk and Orel regions, two UAVs over the Republic of Crimea and another UAV was destroyed over the Tambov region.

On June 1, air defense systems eliminated 33 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones over the Kursk, Belgorod and Lipetsk regions from 08:20 to 19:00 Moscow time. 27 drones were destroyed over the Kursk region, four drones over the Belgorod region and two UAVs over the Lipetsk region.
