A woman died as a result of an attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Rakityansky district in the Belgorod region. This was announced on Sunday, June 1, by the governor of the region Vyacheslav Gladkov.

"In the village of Proletarsky, Rakityansky district, a private house was completely destroyed as a result of a direct hit by a shell. Rescuers have recovered a woman's body from the rubble," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

According to preliminary data, a 12-year-old girl was injured, who was riding a bicycle nearby at the time of the collapse of the house. It is specified that the schoolgirl received a concussion.

Emergency personnel are currently working at the site, Gladkov added. Details of the consequences are being clarified.
