A high-alert mode has been introduced in the Usolsky district of the Irkutsk region due to an attack by drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on June 1 by the governor of the region Igor Kobzev.

"We have decided that we have several key tasks now. First, we are introducing a high—alert regime in the Usolsky district," he stressed in his Telegram channel.

The governor added that he had instructed the heads of the Usolya-Sibirsky and Usolsky districts to ensure fire safety. Kobzev also noted the importance of promptly informing residents about what is happening in order to avoid speculation.

Earlier in the day, drones of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a military unit in the village of Sredny, Irkutsk region. Kobzev said that operational services are working at the scene. They also created an operational headquarters.
