Passengers who were on a train that was damaged when a bridge collapsed on it in the Bryansk region will be able to receive payments from the SOGAZ insurance company, the Federal Passenger Company (FPC), a subsidiary of Russian Railways, said.
"Passengers can expect to receive refunds from SOGAZ JSC," the company's Telegram channel says.
In addition, FPC will refund the full ticket price and additionally award 20,000 bonus points under the Russian Railways Bonus program.
Earlier that day, Russian Railways pledged to pay 2.2 million rubles each to the families of those killed in the emergency. In addition, the company organized free travel to Bryansk station for relatives of the dead and injured who were hospitalized.
After that, the governor of the Bryansk region, Alexander Bogomaz, promised 1.5 million rubles to the families of those killed in the emergency. At the same time, the seriously injured will receive 750 thousand, and the medium and light — 450 thousand rubles.
