Three days of mourning have been declared in the Bryansk region in connection with the train emergency.

In connection with the train crash in the Vygonichi district of the Bryansk region, June 2, 3 and 4 were declared days of mourning. This was announced on June 1 by the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz.

"The national flags of the Russian Federation and the flags of the Bryansk Region will be lowered at half—mast throughout the Bryansk Region," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

The head of the region added that entertainment events will also be canceled in the region and entertainment broadcasts will be suspended. The Governor expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished the injured well.

Earlier in the day, Bogomaz reported that the number of injured as a result of the train accident in the Bryansk region was 71 people. He recalled that seven people died as a result of the train accident.

The collapse of a bridge in the Bryansk region with cars on it on the Klimov — Moscow passenger train happened on the evening of May 31. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed that the collapse occurred as a result of an explosion.
