The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has taken control of the investigation of criminal cases related to the collapse of bridges in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. This was reported on June 1 in the Telegram channel of the department.
"The Russian Prosecutor General's Office has also taken control of the investigation of criminal cases initiated on the facts of the incidents," the report says.
In addition, the head of the Department of the Russian Federation, Igor Krasnov, instructed prosecutors to provide assistance to victims of train crashes in these regions. Hotlines were opened for rapid response to citizens' appeals.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, transport prosecutors coordinate the work of law enforcement agencies and emergency services at the scene. Cooperation with railway and automobile services has also been organized to quickly restore the transport infrastructure and resume traffic.
