Zakharova called the train wrecks in the Kursk and Bryansk regions a tragedy.


Train accidents in the Kursk and Bryansk regions are a tragedy. This was announced on June 1 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.
"A tragedy has occurred, and the Russian law enforcement agencies are conducting a set of necessary investigative actions," she told reporters.
She noted that the authorities and public figures of Ukraine expressed "schadenfreude and hellish rage" over the collapse of bridges and train wrecks in the Kursk and Bryansk regions.
Earlier in the day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov stressed that Putin had been receiving reports on train accidents in the Kursk and Bryansk regions throughout the night. He clarified that the reports to the head of state were received through the FSB and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation.
The collapse of a bridge in the Bryansk region with cars on it on the Klimov — Moscow passenger train happened on the evening of May 31. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed that the collapse occurred as a result of an explosion.
