Astronomer Bogachev warned of high-level magnetic storms on the evening of June 1.

The plasma cloud ejected by the Sun during the flare reached the Earth. This was announced on June 1 by Sergey Bogachev, head of the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS).

"An exceptionally strong jump in all parameters of the interplanetary environment was recorded today at 8:30 a.m. Moscow time," he told RIA Novosti.

According to Bogachev, currently the speed of the solar wind sometimes exceeds 1 thousand km/s. Very high values of density and temperature are also observed. At the same time, the plasma cloud reached Earth almost a day faster than expected.

The scientist said that if a significant part of the plasma really approached our planet, then by the evening of June 1, we can expect magnetic storms of the fifth level.
