Bogomaz reported 71 injured in a train accident in the Bryansk region.


The number of injured as a result of the train accident in the Bryansk region was 71 people. This was announced to RIA Novosti on June 1 by the governor of the region, Alexander Bogomaz.
"As of this morning, 44 of us are in our hospitals. A total of 71 [victims] and 27 people who received assistance were released home," he said.
He recalled that seven people died as a result of the train accident.
Earlier in the day, Assistant Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Alexei Kuznetsov said that 39 victims were being hospitalized in the Bryansk region. Three children and two adults are also being evacuated to Moscow for further treatment.
The collapse of a bridge in the Bryansk region with cars on it on the Klimov – Moscow passenger train happened on the evening of May 31. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation confirmed that the collapse occurred as a result of an explosion.
