Russian Railways on Sunday, June 1, offered its deepest condolences to the families and friends of those killed in a train accident in the Bryansk region.
"Russian Railways will pay 2.2 million rubles each to the relatives of the deceased passengers of train No. 86 Klimov – Moscow," the holding's Telegram channel said.
In addition, the company organized free travel to Bryansk station for relatives of the dead and injured who were hospitalized.
The victims were given the opportunity for free treatment and rehabilitation in Russian Railways medical institutions. The company stressed that the support of the victims and their families remains a priority after the tragedy.
The collapse of the bridge with cars on it onto the Klimov– Moscow passenger train happened on the evening of May 31. Later, the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the collapse occurred as a result of an explosion. According to the latest data, the death toll is seven people. More than 70 people were injured.
