In the Bryansk region, work has begun on clearing railway tracks after the bridge collapse. A recovery train arrived at the scene. This was announced on June 1 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the scene.
According to him, rescue operations are continuing at the site.
"There are a lot of people in orange vests in the distance, both military and police. They are guarding the perimeter," said correspondent Kirill Olkov.
The journalist added that the cars are severely deformed and are under the rubble, but in the near future, experts will begin to sort the rubble.
The collapse of the bridge with cars on it onto the Klimov – Moscow passenger train occurred on the evening of May 31. According to the press service of the Moscow Railway (MZhD), the collapse occurred due to "illegal interference in the activities of transport." The Moscow Transport Prosecutor's Office has begun an inspection.
According to the latest data, the death toll is seven people. The train driver and his assistant were killed. 47 people, including three children, were hospitalized as a result of the bridge collapse.
