Former US President Joe Biden announced the start of cancer treatment and added that the disease had not affected other organs. This was reported by The Washington Post on Friday, May 30.

"The forecast is good. We are working on everything. Everything is moving forward, and I feel good. Everyone is very optimistic," Biden told reporters after speaking at an event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Fallen soldiers in Delaware.

Biden also said he was under the supervision of a renowned surgeon who had successfully overcome cancer himself. According to him, the forecast is good.

The ex-president said that he has to take a specific drug for six weeks, later he will switch to another one. He also clarified that no organs were affected by the disease, and his bones are strong.

Earlier, on May 19, the media reported that Biden was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer. It is specified that the tumor of the former head of state was identified with bone metastases and was assessed on a nine-point Gleason scale as the fifth group. Later that day, Biden confirmed reports of his diagnosis and thanked everyone for their support.
