A teenager who was seriously injured in an attack in Baikalsk has regained consciousness, his condition has stabilized. This was announced on May 30 by Tatyana Afanasyeva, Commissioner for Children's Rights in the Irkutsk Region.

It is specified that Afanasyeva visited the hospital where the injured teenagers are being treated. According to her, they are housed in separate wards, and they receive all the necessary medical and psychological assistance.

"I was especially worried about the boy who was admitted in serious condition. Today, his condition has stabilized, he has regained consciousness," she wrote on the Telegram channel.

Five teenagers were killed in an attack in Baikalsk. What is known

The tragedy occurred on May 28. It was clarified that five teenagers were killed and four more were injured in a knife attack. After the incident, the alleged suspect set fire to the house and died as a result of the fire that started. An operational headquarters was set up in Baikalsk following the incident. Three days of mourning were also declared after the deaths of the teenagers.

Later, the Ministry of Health reported that one of the injured teenagers was in serious condition, while the rest were in moderate condition.
