The incident occurred on the night of May 28 at the Gorny Baikal Horticultural Non-profit Partnership (SNT). According to the Investigative Committee of Russia, a group of teenagers were staying in a private house. At some point, one of the guests attacked those present with a knife, and then set fire to the house.
As a result, five people were killed, including the attacker, and four others were injured. A criminal case has been opened into the murder of two or more persons and attempted murder of two or more persons. Investigators and criminologists are working on the site.

As a result of the attack, five minors were killed, and four more were hospitalized. In her Telegram channel, Tatiana Afanasyeva clarified that one of the victims had been operated on, three needed psychological help, and they were in deep shock. The Commissioner for Children's Rights added that all teenagers will be transferred to the Irkutsk Regional Clinical Hospital for further treatment.
"The condition of three of them is not alarming, they are under medical supervision. One teenager is in serious but stable condition, which allows him to be transported to Irkutsk," she wrote.
The regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported that the victims were between 13 and 17 years old, one of them a girl.
