Nebenzia called on Ukraine to choose between peace after negotiations or defeat

Ukraine needs to make a choice between peace after negotiations or imminent defeat on the battlefield. The corresponding statement was made on May 29 by Russia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations (UN) Vasily Nebenzia during a meeting of the UN Security Council on Ukraine.
"The choice now belongs to Ukraine. Peace after negotiations or imminent defeat on the battlefield with different conditions for ending the conflict," he said.
The diplomat stressed that arms supplies to Kiev, new anti-Russian sanctions and other hostile actions by other countries will not be able to prevent Ukraine's defeat.
On the same day, Nebenzia pointed out the desire of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to deceive and disorient American leader Donald Trump. At the same time, according to the diplomat, the Russian Federation is currently seeking to start a "serious negotiation process" with Kiev.
