Putin meets with ex-President of Kazakhstan Nazarbayev in the Kremlin


Russian President Vladimir Putin received former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in the Kremlin. This was announced on May 29 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Today, the president met in the Kremlin with the first President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, who is in Moscow," he told reporters.
Earlier, on May 17, Putin expressed confidence that relations between Russia and Kazakhstan would develop. The Russian President also highly appreciated the contribution of his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to strengthening the relations of strategic partnership and cooperation between the two countries.
