Zakharova said there was a lack of clarity in Ukraine's position on the negotiations.

There is no clarity in Ukraine's position regarding the continuation of negotiations with Russia. This was stated on May 29 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, on the Rossiya 1 TV channel.
The diplomat, commenting on the words of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, who said that the Russian Federation was allegedly hiding the terms of peace, stressed that this was "a direct story about how the show is going."
"As a person who has been focused on applause, likes and the reaction of external manifestations all his life, he wants to collect attention in this case, to focus [it] on himself. There is no clarity in the position," Zakharova said.
The diplomat noted that everything is presented from the Russian side — dates, compositions, formats. She also stressed that the head of the Russian delegation regularly speaks out on issues of negotiations, while there is only "hysteria" from the Ukrainian side.
On May 29, State Duma deputy Alexei Chepa said that the main tasks of the second round of negotiations in Istanbul would be the preparation of a ceasefire agreement and a number of other issues. In addition, he said that an end to the conflict immediately after the second round of negotiations is unlikely due to the opposition of the Ukrainian side.
