The doctor gave advice on working in the office in the heat

When working in an office in hot weather, you need to drink at least 2 liters of water a day, and important meetings should be postponed to the evening hours, as the heat reduces efficiency. Alexander Konkov, Honored Physician, Professor, Head of the Department of Therapy with a course in Pharmacology and Pharmacy at Rosbiotech University, told about this on Thursday, May 29.
"Proper drinking becomes a key factor in maintaining health in such conditions: even minor dehydration significantly reduces cognitive functions. The human body loses more fluid in the heat, so it is necessary to consume at least 2-2.5 liters of water per day," the specialist said in an interview with Lenta.Ru .
He added that sugary carbonated drinks and coffee increase thirst, and clean water at room temperature effectively promotes body hydration.
"Special attention should be paid to the microclimate of the workplace. The use of air conditioners requires compliance with an important rule — the difference between outdoor and room temperature should not exceed 5-7 degrees," said Konkov.
He advised postponing important tasks and meetings to the morning or evening hours, since in the period from 12 to 16 o'clock, when the temperature reaches maximum values, working capacity decreases significantly.
The specialist stressed that if symptoms such as dizziness, weakness or palpitations appear, it is necessary to stop work immediately and seek medical help.
On May 28, Yuri Varakin, head of the Roshydromet situation center, said that the heat wave in Moscow would subside on Friday, May 30, RT reports. The specialist noted that the days will be very warm until Saturday. He also warned that the beginning of June would not please residents of the capital with such abnormally high temperatures.
Earlier, on May 23, Alexander Shuvalov, head of the Meteo forecasting center, told the National News Agency that Muscovites will have sunny weather and temperatures of +23...+28 degrees until the end of May.
